TEMPLESTOWE: Our clients wanted their renovation to include a streamline open plan area that incorporates their kitchen, dining and family rooms However, in order to achieve this, it was necessary to remove a brick structural pier, that was in the middle the 3 rooms, supporting the upper story of their double storey home. The structural pier has been replaced by a 310 universal steel column. The column, weighing approximately 600kgs, was craned and duck lifted in two pieces and welded together to form 1 continuous beam. It took 4 really really really strong men to install this beast.
